Caring for your bicycle

With expert advice on how to adjust your bike to fit you, how to clean it efficiently, and how to keep it running in top condition, this app lets you get more enjoyment from your bicycle for longer, more safely, and with the sense of satisfaction that comes from knowing you can fix or prevent problems that may arise yourself.

During late 2018 and early 2019, I designed and developed an update to Veloce Publishing’s Caring for your bicycle app for iOS. As well as rewriting the old code from the ground up to be as responsive and future-proof as possible, I took the opportunity to focus on creating a clean, attractive design.

As well as revamping the appearance of the app, I developed several new features that were not present in the previous version, including the ability to keep track of regular bicycle maintenance, a customisable bicycle ‘avatar’, and the ability to save multiple bikes and their data within one device.

As usual with apps developed at Veloce Publishing, I handled all aspects of the app development, from initial sketches and mockups all the way through coding and release on iOS and Android.
